Snow build up on the roofs of some Treasure Valley onion plants has caused them to collapse!

Snowmaggedon 2017 continues to take its toll.

18 onion storage and packing plants have been affected in Southwestern Idaho and Eastern Oregon.

Roof collapses have wiped out about 25% of the regions onion processing.

According to KTVB, the damage is being seen at the grocery store. Before the damage, a 50 lb. bag of onions would cost $3.50, now prices have nearly doubled to around $6.50.

More snow is expected this week, so hopefully the damage doesn't continue.
