Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington Commits Suicide
Did you realize suicide is the #1 cause of death for teenagers here in the Treasure Valley? A global problem that doesn't discriminate or judge. Suicide takes the rich, the famous, and the innocent.
Sad news today as we learned Linkin Park's Chester Bennington committed suicide this morning around 9 a.m. at his private residence in Palos Verdes Estates in Los Angeles.
Bennington has six children and was the main attraction for the mega-star group Linkin Park. Their Hybrid Theory album is one of the most decorated rock albums in U.S. history selling over 10 million copies. I remember watching these guys on MTV, back when MTV had videos and thinking about how cool their rock / hip hop sound was. So tragic to see such creativity fall into so much pain.
This is just a small reminder as to how vulnerable we all are to pain, depression, and the negativity that surrounds us in this world. If you know of anyone even thinking about the possibility of suicide, please text the Crisis Hotline Idaho number at 741741.
