Early yesterday morning we reported one of those stories that haunts every parent.  Somehow a 21-month-old got out and was missing for just a few minutes but that's all it took for tragedy to strike.  The Canyon County Sheriff's Office along with multiple other search and rescue operations were immediately called in and they did find the little one about 10 minutes later in the Mora Canal where no time was wasted.  CPR was administered and the young boy was transported to the hospital where they did their best to keep him alive.

As we all held our breaths yesterday, expecting the worst but hoping for the best, the tragic news broke a little after 5 p.m. yesterday afternoon.  The 21-month-old toddler did not make it.

KTVB has all the details listed and continues to update this story as it develops.  How the child ended up on his own or what exactly happened is unknown at this time.  An investigation is underway.  Please keep the family in your prayers.
