Saturday, October 10th is going to be a really cool day! Rick & I will be hosting the Buddy Walk in association with the Treasure Valley Down Syndrome Association.

This cause is very near and dear to our hearts because although neither of us has a child with Down Syndrome, we both have kids that have faced some significant challenges. Rick's 17 year old daughter, Ireland, has had Type 1 Diabetes since she was 10 and my 9 year old son, Boston, was diagnosed with a high functioning form of Autism, called Asperger's when he was 2.

Like many parents we know what it's like to experience the shock of something so unexpected, but we also know the blessings that these types of challenges can bring.

What we love the very most about the Buddy Walk is that it promotes acceptance and inclusion for people with Down Syndrome. The Treasure Valley Down Syndrome Association provides incredible resources for parents who have just found out they have a child with Down Syndrome and helps them to understand the positives that can actually come with this life changing diagnosis.

It's not too late to Sign Up for the Buddy Walk, so if you have a child with Down Syndrome, someone you love has Down Syndrome, or you just want to support this great cause that celebrates differences, we hope you'll join us.
