I am a fanboy.  I've loved comic books for as long as I can remember. There are so many great superhero movies these days ("Iron Man," the Dark Knight Trilogy, etc.).  But there's one super group they have yet to get right. Until maybe now...

The Fantastic Four has always been tricky.  I mean, how can you take a character seriously who calls himself "Mr. Fantastic?" Oh, and his super power is that he's "stretchy." Yet the Fantastic Four really laid the groundwork for many of the modern takes on superheroes.  The Fantastic Four is built upon science.  Okay, it's built upon comic book science (what the hell is a gamma ray?!), but still.

But what really makes them great is that they are a family.  They laugh, they fight, they makeup, they fight mole men together.  They are rich for storytelling.  But for some reason, they just don't translate to the movies.

Until now?

I was very nervous about the reboot of the Fantastic Four.  But after watching this trailer, I am hopefully optimistic.

So what do you think?  Does it look like they finally are going to get the first family of comic books right?
