Getting outta town for Thanksgiving? Looks like you're not alone.  According to AAA, nearly 50 million Americans are expected to travel at least 50 miles away from home which is an increase of 1 million people from last year and the most since 2007.

Matthew Conde with AAA Idaho reports, "255,000 Idahoans will be taking off and 227,000 of those will be by car, so quite a few people on the roads, and it's about a 2 percent increase."

The busiest days for travelers are expected to be Wednesday and Sunday.  The airports are expected to be the busiest on Wednesday however the majority of Idahoans are projected to be traveling by car.

So if you ARE hitting the roads this holiday, The National Weather Service has an online system which could be your best friend this season.
