Idaho Vandals to Join Big Sky Conference

Idaho President Chuck Staben made the announcement this morning.

The Idaho Vandals will call the Big Sky Conference 'home,' beginning in 2018 -pending approval by the Idaho State Board of Education.

The decision is made after the Sun Belt conference decided they'd go with 10 teams, dropping Idaho as a member.

“Moving football to the Big Sky is also the right choice for our students, for academic excellence, and for the long-term success and stature of the University of Idaho,” Staben said."
