Idaho Snow Causes Multiple Slide-Offs & Crashes
We finally got it. Our first true snow storm of the Winter here in the Treasure Valley and it took it's toll. The I-84 stretch between Meridian and Caldwell ended up with the most damage.
Idaho State Patrol was out in full force Friday night and were attending to five or six different slide-offs or accidents at once on average. According to KTVB the main stretch of disaster was I-84 in between Meridian and Caldwell.
I-84 westbound was shut down between ID 55 and Franklin Rd because of a crash.
The Ada County Sheriff's Department also had their hands full dealing with crashes at I-84 westbound at Highway 69 and I-84 at Ten Mile Road. The intersection of Star Road and Chinden Blvd also had a pretty good accident.
Injury crashes included one on the Garrity Blvd overpass in Nampa and several people were transported to hospitals from the Meridian to Caldwell stretch of I-84 where many accidents were going on simultaneously.
