It's been a much heated debate for years, but Idaho is one step closer to raising the legal age limit to buy tobacco from 18 to 21. Which side of the fence are you on?

Some argue that if you are adult enough to join the military at 18 you are old enough to make personal adult decisions such as buying tobacco. On the flip side we all know how dangerous tobacco can be to your health and those that are proposing the legal age be changed argue that with increased maturity many may decided to not start using tobacco at all.

Boise senator Fred Martin and the Advocacy Group Tobacco 21 recently hosted an event that revealed 1,800 adults die in Idaho from their smoking habits every year.

According to KTVB the Tobacco 21 Bill should be introduced into committee in the next week and both sides will be able to argue their stance on the bill.

We'll keep you updated on how it turns out.
