Idaho Hunter Killed By Fallen Tree

67-year-old Kenneth Lawrence was sleeping when a tree fell on top of him and killed him.

According to KIVI TV Lawrence was on a hunting trip at the Salmon-Challis National Forest in central Idaho with his family.  Lawrence is from North Carolina and was sleeping when a dead tree broke and landed on his chest.

The Custer County Sheriff's Department immediately dispatched search and rescue along with ambulances but their efforts were just too late.  Lawrence was later pronounced dead and was taken to a funeral home in Challis.
