Idaho High School Teacher Dies On Hike

Madison High School teacher Larry Prescot unfortunately passed away on Saturday while hiking at Lemhi Range.

Prescot had difficulty breathing while hiking and unfortunately 911 could not be contacted soon enough to save him.  BYU-Idaho student Thad Davis was with Prescott and hiked five hours to get cell service to call 911.

A search started immediately but was called off at 10:30 p.m. because of a snow storm.  Prescott's body was found Sunday morning.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
