A $10 million lawsuit has been filed against the Dietrich School District for the brutal rape of their son.

The victim's identity is not being released but the charges are very serious.  The parents are suing the Dietrich School District for not protecting their son from escalating racially-based harassment and assault that ended with their teen being brutally raped with a coat hanger by his teammates on the football team.

The alleged attackers are white and the victim is black with mental disabilities.  The date was October 23, 2015 in the boy's locker room.  One teammate offered to give the victim a hug and then held him down while teammates inserted a coat hanger into his rectum.  Another teammate kicked the coat hanger several times causing injuries that required medical treatment at a hospital.

Two of the suspects will be charged as adults and may face up to life in prison if convicted.

The victim had previously gone through mistreatment being called names like "Kool Aid," "Chicken Eater," "Watermelon," and the "N" word.  A confederate flag was also posted on the victim's computer with a note that demanded him to recite a racist song called "Moonman Notorious KKK."

The Dietrich School District has declined to comment on the pending litigation.
