Star Wars has lost one of the originals.  At only 60-years-old, Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) is dead.

Fisher passed away this morning from a heart attack.  She was flying from London to Los Angeles on Friday when she went into a cardiac arrest.  Paramedics removed her from the flight and rushed her to the nearest hospital.  That's where she spent the last moments of her life.

Fisher was only 19 when she starred in the first Star Wars movie in 1977.  In 1983 she married famous musician Paul Simon.  They divorced in 1984 but continued with their relationships for a few years after.

Fisher suffered from drug abuse and depression which she wrote about openly in her semi autobiographical book "Postcards From The Edge" which eventually became a movie that Meryl Streep starred in.

Fisher is survived by her mom and daughter.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the both of them.
