Would you call out a racist boss even if it meant losing your job?

Stacie Ward worked at a restaurant in Coeur d'Alene. When she noticed that her boss was not even considering resumes from African-American applicants, she called him out on it for being racist. He allegedly retaliated by making up stuff about Stacie and then firing her. (You can read more about it HERE.)

This morning we asked you if you've ever stood up for somebody else at the workplace even if it meant that you might be risking your job. If you want to weigh in, email us at morningshow@wow1043.com. One email we got this morning was from a white girl who has an African-American boyfriend. She talked about how when they are in public, sometimes people like restaurant servers will ignore him and only talk to her. Her email reminded me of a video I once saw about the importance of using your privilege to stand up for others who might not have as much of a voice as you do.

What would you do if you were in this situation?
