Hope for St. Jude Kids
Being a parent is arguably the most difficult journey any individual can choose to take, while also being the the most rewarding experience of any parent.
Parents and families alike understand that dealing with a child with even a small cold is trying for those who love them and creates stress on the family unit. Now imagine that stress, worry, and time consuming rehabilitation time from a cold monumentally more severe.
St. Jude understands the trying times of these families and their children. They take extreme care to make sure that the families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, or food because they want the families to be able to focus solely on their child and their well-being.
St. Jude Children's Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats, and defeats these children's cancer, among other diseases. Because of St. Jude's dedication to treatment, the overall cancer survival rate has risen from 20 percent to more than 80 percent and are steadily working to push the survival rate for childhood cancer to 90 percent! The most significant survival rate increase is shown int he most common type of childhood cancer, acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), going from 4 percent when St. Jude opened it's doors in 1962 to an amazing 94 percent!
