Helicopter Accident Claims Life of Troy Gentry

Sad day in country music today. We just learned that a helicopter accident has claimed the life of Troy Gentry of the country duo Montgomery Gentry.

All Access is reporting that a TV station in Lexington, Kentucky reported that an accident occurred at the Flying W Airport in Medford, NJ. The accident apparently happened about 10am MDT today. Troy (pictured on the left above) was on board the helicopter when it went down.

According to sources, the duo's EDDIE MONTGOMERY was not onboard the helicopter at the time of the accident.

The duo was scheduled to play a concert at the airport this evening, but the show was cancelled immediately before the victims were identified and information released. The identity of a second passenger on board has not yet been released.
