The price of gas is higher in Idaho than in most other states in the country, but it is expected to drop. Here's when...

Idaho currently has the 7th highest gas prices in the nation. We're about 25 cents higher than the national average.

Fall typically brings lower gas prices, but it hasn't happened yet here in Idaho.

Luckily, according to AAA, lower gas prices are headed our way.

Two factors that play into the lower rates ahead are pumps switching to a cheaper winter grade fuel and lower demand during the winter months.

KTVB says prices are expected to drop as we head into Thanksgiving, and apparently the combination of pipeline and refinery issues, plus the uncertainty about future oil production has kept gas prices higher in The Gem State over the last few months.
