Firebird Raceway Death Information Released

A lot of thoughts, prayers, and tears are going out now for this man's family and for those that were close to him.

A horrific accident Friday morning resulted in death for 65-year-old Dan Barton of Post Falls who was in the loading area for the racers about 8:30 Friday morning when a trailer door crushed him.  Dan was pronounced dead on the scene.  Police, paramedics, and an air ambulance were all called to the track but it was too late.

Its hard to lose a loved one.  Sometimes its even harder when a senseless, random accident is what takes someone from us.  We're all thinking of Dan's family and friends.  Rest In Peace my friend.
