Fill Boise Rescue Mission Pantry

As the holidays approach, you may be wondering how you can help out those in need. One of the organizations that does so much good for folks in need here in the Treasure Valley is the Boise Rescue Mission, and an easy way for you to help is to fill their pantries so they can provide food for those in need every single day.

Shu's Idaho Running Company who is sponsoring the Turkey Day 5K, is making it easy for you to donate all those non-perishable food items for the Boise Rescue Mission. From now until Thanksgiving, you can drop off your donation items at Shu's Idaho Running Company (1758 W State St, Boise, ID 83702). If you're one of the first 20 people to bring in 10lbs of food (or more), you'll get a FREE Turkey Day 5K mug!

Plus, just by liking Vertical Endurance (Turkey Day 5K organizer) on Facebook, you'll be making a difference too. If they get  2,500 likes by this Friday (11/9) they'll donate $1,000 to the Boise Rescue Mission. If they get 5,000 likes by Thanksgiving, they'll toss in another $1,000!

And speaking of money being donated to the Boise Rescue Mission, the Turkey Day 5K organizers have committed to donating $10,000 to the Boise Rescue Mission if they hit their goal of 8,000 participants at the Turkey Day 5K on Thanksgiving morning!
