Eric Church performed at the The Grand Ol' Opry last night, and broke down talking about the tragedy in Las Vegas.

He had performed on Friday night of the Route 91 Festival this past weekend. When he heard about the shootings on Sunday night of the festival, he took note of Sonny Melton,  the Tennessee man that died shielding his wife from the bullets.

Eric Church sat down and wrote a song called "Why Not Me" and dedicated it to Melton.

48 hours before the shootings, Eric was on the same stage as Jason Aldean. At one point he went into the crowd to meet his fans. Shaking hands, taking selfies with them, and thanking them for coming.

This is a powerful video, and a testament to the country music world. Fans, artists, record companies, country radio stations....Americans. We're all a big family.
