The onslaught of heavy traffic after the Eclipse has hit Idaho highways, freeways, and roads.  Know before you go so you don't get stuck in hours of stand still traffic.

Most are headed home now after the Total Solar Eclipse and the Idaho Department of Transportation is giving us a heads as to where the most congested areas are on the roads tonight.

Traffic is at a stand still in Eastern Idaho along U.S. 20 just south of Ashton and also along U.S. 26 headed into Wyoming.  The busiest traffic areas are I-15 between Idaho Falls and Utah, US 93 near the Craters of the Moon National Monument, Highway 95 between Payette and Riggins and Idaho 55 just north of Eagle.

A lot of the mountain areas of Stanley, Sun Valley, and Garden Valley are busy as well.  For more specifics on where the traffic is headed home from the eclipse go to KTVB.com.
