There's a lot of big fish in Idaho!

One of the many things I love about Idaho is all of the great places to go fishing. There are a lot of huge fish in Idaho. Just last week, Larry Warren caught a gigantic rainbow trout.

On March 1st, 2014, 12-year-old Tia Wiese took a trip up to Lake Cascade with her dad to go ice fishing. There a many different species of fish in Lake Cascade. One of the most sought after is the Yellow Perch.

That day, Tia and her dad caught one of the biggest perch ever caught in Idaho, and it has just been confirmed that the fish is the new World Record! The perch weighed 2 lbs 11.68 ounces, and the current world record was 2 lbs 6 ounces.

Check out the picture of Tia's monster perch below.
