A successful round one of new homes in north Caldwell has prompted Hayden Homes to expand and is planning a second phase of building.

According to the Idaho Statesman, most of the 94 homes in phase one of Village Crossing, have already been built. So, with its success, they planned an expansion that was approved by the City Council on Tuesday.

Voyage Crossing North, located north of Franklin Road - U.S. 26 (east of I-84), will have 157 homes, and according to the Idaho Statesman, construction should begin this year.

There was some push back from residents in the area back in December, neighbors were worried about "its density." But after some restructuring, Hayden Homes removed the high-density designation and will build the homes to meet the medium-density residential standards.

How much will the cost?

There's no word on how much these homes will cost quite yet; but the homes built during phase one are priced at $154,990 for a three-bedroom, two bathroom, 1,148-square-foot-home.

If you were thinking of buying a new home soon, this may be the neighborhood for you.
