Dear Rick and Carly, 

My boyfriend proposed to me with an engagement ring that belonged to his dead grandmother. I never liked her because she always said I wasn't good enough for him. She was married and divorced four times. I'm upset because my boyfriend can't see that her ring is cursed. He insists I wear it because it is a family heirloom. Is this a bad omen for us? What can I do to get my boyfriend to buy me a new ring so we can start fresh?
