At first it didn't seem like much of a big deal.  A small crash involving a vehicle that was not going very fast into a mailbox at the intersection of North 7th and West Ridenbaugh in Boise around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning ended up tragically with the man behind the wheel dead.

Boise Police answered the call about a crash promptly as they always do.  When they arrived on the scene, the car was still on, the doors locked, and the man behind the wheel unconscious.  Police quickly broke the window thinking only of the man's safety and quickly realized that he had already passed.  The man's identity has been kept confidential until family members and close relatives can properly receive the news.

KTVB reports that the Boise Police are suspecting no foul play and they have not yet commented on the possibility of a medical situation or drugs or alcohol.  After family members are properly notified the Ada County Coroner's Office will release the name of the deceased.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
