Colbert Jokes on Idaho

Last Night's "Colbert Report" on comedy central opened up with its usual extreme satirical news intro.  At the end of it, Colbert takes a quick shot at Idaho about raising its speed limit to 80.

"Idaho has raised its speed limit to 80 miles per hour.  Now you can get out of there even faster."

Many people would see this as an insult to Idaho.  However, keep in mind that this show makes fun of everyone, and Idaho has been taking pot shots from the media/ entertainment business for a long time.  I think this is just a representation about how much Idaho is growing.  Its a great thing that they are raising the speed limits here.

With growth comes the need for a faster pace of transition between spread out places as more and more people come and go from our state.  And with more people comes more national attention and more jokes.  No matter how people joke about it.  Those of us who live here know how awesome Idaho is.
