Cat and Mouse Chase Lands Two in Jail

Boise Police officers were busy this morning.

A Meridian man and a Boise woman are in custody after a long game of cat and mouse with Boise Police.

According to a press release from BPD, the couple was pulled over for having a headlight out near the intersection of Entertainment Avenue and Overland Road just after midnight today.  The driver stopped, but then drove away as the officer approached the car.

This happened several times over the next few hours; one of the times, an officer on foot was struck by the vehicle.  The officer was checked by medical personnel and cleared to return to duty.

Then finally…. the car was located unoccupied and stopped at the intersection of DeMeyer Street and Koaster Avenue.

Officers searched the area and found the driver and the passenger attempting to hide.  The two were taken into custody and booked into the Ada County Jail on several misdemeanor and felony counts.
