Canyon County Domestic Violence Task Force Recognizes October As National Domestic Violence Awareness Month

The Canyon County Domestic Violence Task Force will hold a press conference Wednesday, Oct. 1st to kickoff National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

The task force will be joined by local law enforcement and community leaders as they talk about the impact of domestic violence on our communities and show support for the organizations that provide advocacy and assistance to victims.

The Canyon County Domestic Violence Task Force will also have their clothesline project on display at various locations throughout Canyon County during the month of October. The powerful visual display consists of a clothesline hung with t-shirts that have been decorated by local survivors of domestic violence. The purpose of the project is to bear witness to survivors and victims of domestic violence and help raise awareness of the issue.
