There's no secret, I LOVE to go camping! If I can go every weekend in the summer, I'd be off. Luckily, my husband, kiddo, and pups love it just as much as I do so, of course, the first opportunity we got, we heading to the mountains. Now every time we go camping, we like to try out a new spot (or introduce each other to our favorites). We believe there's something special about every little nook and cranny in Idaho, so we want to explore as many of them as possible. This last weekend, we made the decision to head up to Sage Hen Reservoir.

My husband had been there before, so we went to his favorite campground, Sage Hen Creek. But there are four other campgrounds that offer potable water, picnic tables, grills, fire pits, and even bathrooms! There are both reservation and walk-up spots available. So what kind of activities can you do at Sage Hen? A ton, the reservoir has two boat docks for your boats (15mph speed limit), kayaks, paddle-boards, trails (walking, ATV, horseback, mountain bikes), and the rainbow trout hanging out in the reservoir, enjoy great fishing too.  CLICK HERE for fees, directions, availability, and more facility details.
