Caldwell Man Dies In Bad Car Crash On I-84

This is not how we wanted to start 2017.  Mother Nature claims another victim on I-84.

There were three vehicles involved in this New Years Eve accident on the westbound side of I-84 around 1:40 a.m. and unfortunately one life lost.

One vehicle lost control, slamming into the guard rail and that's when another vehicle pulled over... the driver got out to help and then two other vehicles tried to avoid them and ended up hitting them after their cars swerved out of control.  The original driver in the accident, 37-year-old Ricardo Sanchez of Caldwell died at the scene.  The other man struck, 48-year-old James Harrell of Middleton was rushed to Saint Alphonsus Regional Center in Boise.  As of now, we don't know his condition.
