Bomb Mailed to Gowen Field

A suspicious device was delivered to Gowen Field over the weekend. Here's what officials found inside. 

It happened Saturday when a mail handler came across a suspicious looking device that appeared to be a bomb. With it was a letter from 39 year old David Hamby, who has a history of making threats to the base.

Officials were called in and luckily the bomb was determined to be a fake. However, the trouble did not stop there.

On Sunday, Hamby showed up and demanded to speak with someone at the base and based on his history they called the cops.

According to KTVB, Hamby refused to comply with officers and ended up being transported to the hospital for a mental evaluation.

He has since been charged with a felony for creating a hoax destructive device. Hamby is also being charged with a misdemeanor for resisting or obstructing officers.
