“Well, the cat’s out of the bag." That's what Maddie Zahm's mom posted on Facebook after American Idol released a promotional video for the show featuring her daughter Maddie Zahm who is from Boise! In the video, Maddie explains how her diagnosis of PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) in high school caused her to lose her confidence to sing in front of a crowd. She says music is her life, and it shows. According to the Idaho Statesman, Maddie is now a "music therapist working with people with autism and other disabilities."

Because of all the legal stuff, her family (or a publicist for the show) cannot confirm or deny if she made it to Hollywood, or how far in the show she progressed. But, her mom does say in that Facebook post to "Tune in March 11th to see how she did!” What we're sure of is that Maddie will be representing Idaho on American Idol! She posted photos on Instagram of her at the auditions with an apology..."Sorry I disappeared @boisestateuniversity does this mean I don't have to pay my parking tickets??"

GOOD LUCK, MADDIE! We'll be cheering you on girl!!
