Boise Students Plan Walk-Out to Protest

What are school officials suggesting the do instead?

Boise State students as well as high-school students from around the area, are planning a walk out this Thursday, February 16 – 10a to protest the confirmation of Betsy DeVos, the newly sworn-in secretary of education.

Pricipals have asked two of the organizers, Nora Harren and Colette Raptosh (who were also behind the Boise Women’s March last month) if the protest could be held during the lunch hour.

According to the Idaho Statesman, the organizers say the timing is meant to send a message and “is not going to change.”
