Boise State University student, James Gomez will finally be able to compete in 'American Ninja Warrior' after training and preparing for over a decade. According to KTVB, Gomez first started watching the original version when he was 11 or 12 years old. He was obviously too young at that point to compete. So since he's been watching the TV show and learning the obstacles even taking mental notes hoping he'd get his chance to compete. Now he has his chance.

Gomez got the call asking if he'd like to be a part of the show, and of course he said yes. According to KTVB, Gomez' response was 'Yeah, of course I do!' Wanting to cheer him on? Despite him competing on Friday, the episode won't air until July. However, if he does well this weekend, he'll move on to compete in Las Vegas.
