In the midst of all of the heartache surrounding Las Vegas, stories of heroism are starting to emerge. One of the heroes that night is from right here in Boise.

Nick Vlamis was close to the stage at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas when tragedy struck. He immediately sprung into action.

According to KTVB, Nick noticed a steel enclosed space underneath the stage and he helped as many people as he could take cover.

Nick then wen to the back of the stage and rendered aid. He helped both a man and a woman who had both been shot into a vehicle and drove them straight to the local hospital.

He put his life in the line of fire to help complete strangers and says he plans to go back to the festival next year to honor those who lost there lives.

You make Boise very proud Nick and we are so glad that you and your friends are safe.
