There are areas of the greenbelt that are closed.

With all the snow the Treasure Valley received during 'Snowpocalypse 2017', there's now surprise many neighborhoods and streets have seen some flooding issues. But now the flooding along the Boise river has some areas of the greenbelt closed.

There was so much flooding under the west Parkcenter bridge near Logger Creek, that the greenbelt path has been closed, and there is a detour to take your over the bridge.

With more flooding expected this week, the Idaho Statesman reports that the following sections will be next:

  • Between mile marker 2.6 SE and 3.7 SE near the Cottonwood Apartments to the powerline corridor along Parkcenter Boulevard on the pedestrian-only Bethine Church River Trail.
  • Between mile marker .08 SE and 1.4 SE at Logger Creek located under the Parkcenter Bridge.
  • The Main Street tunnel near Esther Simplot Park.
There will be signs posted on the pathways.
