Over this past weekend, the weather was so gorgeous we just couldn't stay inside! I headed down to a section of the Greenbelt I had never discovered before and we found something really cool!

I'll admit, I'm a creature of habit, so whenever I've run along the Greenbelt I've always entered just off of Broadway and Park Blvd, but this weekend we decided to hit up a different section in Garden City, and we discovered some really cool things! My kids can now both confidently ride bikes, so it has been really fun to discover new trails to bike on as a family. We entered the Greenbelt from the Riverside RV Park off of Glenwood and as we biked along, we went along several cool bridges, the kids climbed trees along the riverbank, and then we saw these really neat hills that kids were biking on! My son had an absolute blast! (I know, I know, this may be a well known hot spot along the Greenbelt, but I'm a newbie and it made me fall in love with the Greenbelt even more! I also love the ducks and the squirrels and the little stations where you can fix your bike! I pretty much feel like every city should have a Greenbelt; it's just so cool!) Anyway, if you haven't checked out this part of the Greenbelt you should! Here's my son storming up and down the hills!

I also noticed while we were there that one kid was riding this unusual looking but really cool bike and I just learned that the city of Eagle is investing in these neat 3-wheel bikes for kids with disabilities! This kid was cruising the hills just like everyone else and I think it's an incredible program! You can check out more about the bikes for kids with disabilities HERE.

I can't wait to float the Boise River this summer and discover all that the Greenbelt has to offer! To see different points of entry to the Greenbelt click HERE.
