So not only will the Christmas tree in front of our nation's capital be one donated from Idaho's Payette National Forrest, it will also be lit up by one of Boise's own, fifth grader Isabella Gerard.  10 year old Gerard will do the honor of lighting the 80-foot Engelmann spruce in a ceremony that will take place today at 3 PM Mountain Time.

Gerard will be accompanied by Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan as well as Idaho's own Sen. Mike Crapo.  Crapo picked Gerard due to the poem she wrote called, "Pristine Idaho Mountains." Gerard says after hearing that she had been selected she was, "surprised and, like, really happy."
