If you've been to The Boise's Farmers Market, you know.  If you haven't, you're missing out.  This isn't something you can just grab every day on your way to or home from work.  Its once a week and that starts today.

Saturday, April 1 is the big kick off for The Boise Farmers Market and it'll go down once a week, every Saturday, through October 28.  Spring's my favorite because you get fresh, local greens, herbs, spices, apples, plant starts, beef, lamb, chickens, breads, pastries, honey, jams, sauces, fresh-roasted coffee, waffles, tacos, pizza, sambosas... you get the point.  I could go on and on... I just know its D-Lish!

The Boise Farmers Market is set up as a community based marketplace where local food and agricultural products are being sold year round.  Well, almost year round.  Their mission is to support local healthy food and agriculture by creating a place where locals can show off and sell their goods.

Here's a couple of key notes...

  • No dogs aloud - Health Department Rules
  • The Boise Farmers Market is open rain or shine
  • Volunteers are always wanted - Visit the information booth on Saturdays

The Boise Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm at 10th and Grove
