Zach Madison, a boy from Boise, Idaho recently lost his battle with cancer.  His parents are remembering him in a very special way.

Zach was working on a monument for the Optimist Youth Sports Complex in Ada County.  This was his Eagle Scout project.  Unfortunately he became too sick to finish this monument.  Thanks to his loving parents, the monument was unveiled today.
The community all pitched in to help Zach's parents finish this project.  Here's a quote from his parents...
"The memorial is really important because it's something that allows us to remember Zach and things that he stood for," said Roger Madison, Zach's father. "He loved Optimist Football. He loved being on a team. He loved his coach. And this is a great way for us to give back."
Zach's monument has a map of the fields which help people get around, along with a picture of Zach and his story.
