It was a very intense, scary situation this morning as a car burst into flames in a Boise Walmart parking lot. Here's what happened:

The fire was called in at around 3:30 a.m. this morning at the intersection of Cole and Overland.

By the time the Boise Fire Department arrived on scene the car was fully engulfed in flames. According to a police report, two people have been sent to the hospital and one person is dead. Their identities and their conditions are unknown at this time.

So far we have no idea what caused the car to catch fire and we have no idea if it is related to a crime. Crews are continuing to investigate and we'll keep you updated as this story develops.

Two thumbs up to our Boise Fire Department for getting there as quickly as they did this morning and putting the fire out before it could spread more.

Please keep the two people injured in your thoughts and prayers. We certainly hope they make a full recovery.
