It's been one of those places where multiple generations have been going to hang out, have fun, and make memories, and now this Boise business is suddenly closing their doors.

20th Century Bowling Lanes at 4712 W. State Street is closing after 57 years on June 30th.

According to the Idaho Statesman, the bowling alley was just given word that their lease offer was rejected, prompting the sudden closure.

Treasure Valley Skate will be moving into the location instead on November 1st.

20th Century Bowling Lanes has actually been in business for 80 years, but they are only claiming 57 because they've been at the State Street location that long. Before they were downtown where Old Chicago is now.

Treasure Valley Skate doesn't plan to change a lot inside, other than of course putting in a roller skating rink, and it will be more family friendly by turning the lounge into a party room and not serving alcohol.

Out with the old, in with the new. Thanks 20th Century Bowling for creating a lot of great memories for so many years.
