Well, this is a bummer. Yet another locally-owned business is saying goodbye after a long run. This time it’s a bookstore that has been in downtown Boise for 18 years!! According to the Idaho Statesman, Trip Taylor Booksellers is closing their doors and will be getting rid of their inventory during the “The Sinking Ship Sale! 75% off EVERYTHING.” Hey, at least they have a sense of humor about the whole thing.

David Klinger told the Statesman the "one of the most common threads or explanations is rising commercial rents and the scarcity of places to move for small businesses that still want to remain in business. So they’re disappearing.” Trip Taylor Booksellers started in Boise in 2000; originally in the yellow victorian house that is now The Hyde House restaurant. It was then moved over to its downtown location at  210 N. 10th St in 2005. It will remain open until the end of March, where they'll be offering amazing deals until they have to close shop. I'm so sad to see another locally owned business close its doors. #ShopLocal
