Boise Among Best in the Country When it Comes to This
We know how amazing our little community is, but now the entire country is starting to take notice! In fact, a new study shows we are among the best when comes to this!
Boise has been deemed one of the "Safest Cities in the Country" according to a new study by msn.com.
Only 20 cities across the country made the cut. We come in at #3. They claim we haven't had any murders in the city this year, which at first I thought, "that's not true" we just had a woman in Mountain Home murdered and later found in the trunk of her car! Then as I thought about it more, this study is focusing just on Boise, not the entire Treasure Valley.
MSN also boasts about high-rated public schools and affordable homes. The crime rate in Boise is 1,848 per 100,000 people which seems a little steep, but we still come out on top compared to other cities.
Other places across the country that are considered the safest are:
- Irvine, California
- Plano, Texas
- Virginia Beach, Virginia
- Scottsdale, Arizona
- Henderson, Nevada
- El Paso, Texas
- Lincoln, Nebraska
- Irving, Texas
- Madison, Wisconsin
- Laredo, Texas
- Mesa, Arizona
- San Diego
- Austin, Texas
- New York City
- San Jose, California
- Raleigh, North Carolina
- Aurora, Colorado
- Anaheim, California
- Arlington, Texas
