An Idaho family finally has some answers after their young loved one went missing and was later found dead.

43 year old Jeff Brenner set out to go turkey hunting on Memorial Day, but he ended up never coming home and his body was found a week later leaving his family with lots of questions as to how he died.

Jeff's trouble started when his truck became stuck in the mud on a 90-degree day in a rural area east of Payette.

Jeff was not prepared for trouble and ended up walking away from his truck without water and wearing a black shirt. It was a deadly combination that would cost him his life.

According to the Idaho Statesman, Jeff ended up walking 3.5 miles away from his truck and his body was found in an irrigation field on June 6th.

An autopsy shows he died of dehydration which caused him to become disoriented and made it even more difficult to find help or use survival skills.

A service will be held for Jeff Saturday June 24th at 4 p.m. at the Portia Club (225 N. 9th Street) in Payette.
