A massive collision at about 5:30 last night at the intersection of Ustick Road and 11th Avenue just north of Nampa ended in the worst of ways.  A Nampa family is mourning the loss of a young man this morning who didn't make it.  19-year-old Jacob Wright was driving southbound on 11th Avenue North in a 2004 Hyundai Elantra when he failed to yield going through the intersection at Ustick.

According to KTVB, 57-year-old Ignacio Ortiz who is also from Nampa had the right of way as he was driving through the same intersection in his 1999 Ford truck that was pulling a trailer.  Both men were wearing seatbelts but the crash was bad enough to take the life of 19-year-old Wright.  He died at the scene of the accident.  The intersection was blocked off for about three hours while crews investigated and cleaned up but everything's open now.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to Wright's family.
