8-Year-Old Meridian Girl Dies In Crash

An eight-year-old girl from Meridian, Idaho was fatally injured in a collision of two semitrailers on I-80 in Nebraska.

The accident happened about 6:45 p.m. Sunday where an eastbound truck driven by forty-year-old Serget Kalinovskaya, of Meridian, Idaho ran into the back of another truck which was being driven by fifty-nine-year-old Rana Singh of Chino, California.

Patrol on the scene say that eight-year-old Victoria Kalinovskaya was in the truck with her dad and was ejected on impact.  Both her and her father were taken to North Platte hospital where Victoria was pronounced dead on arrival.  Her father has minor injuries and Singh was not injured.
