6-Year-Old Washington County Boy Playing With Gun Dies

A 6-year-old boy in Washington County shot himself while playing with a gun inside his home.

Around 4:26, Saturday night, the young boy was with his mother and her boyfriend in the front yard while they were working on their vehicle.  He wandered into the home by himself, found a gun in the bedroom, accidentally shot it and the bullet hit him in the head.

The Washington County Sheriff's Department is investigating but no charges have been filed.  Our deepest sympathies go out to the family and everyone who knew this 6-year-old boy.
