25-Year-Old Idaho Man Killed in Hunting Accident

It was supposed to be a fun outing and it ended with a 25-year-old man dead. 

Ryan S. Rigney of Lewiston was hunting hear Soldiers Meadow Lake when he accidentally discharged his gun according to KTVB.

Medical crews rushed to the scene at approximately 7:42 a.m. yesterday but there was nothing that could be done and Rigney passed away at the scene.

The Nez Perce County Sheriffs Office says the death appears to be accidental.

This isn't the first time Ryan Rigney has been in the news. Earlier this year Ryan and his three-year-old son went missing while hunting and were later found in Orofino.

On social media, Ryan described himself as a dedicated father and avid outdoorsman. Please keep his young family in your thoughts and prayers in the days to come.
