This morning's show is tough to get through.  One of my daughter's besties passed away last night after a long battle of sickness.

Chelsea Bell was one of the most unique, interesting, good-hearted, sweet souls I've ever had the pleasure to meet.  She was recruited to play soccer at Utah Valley University where my daughter Lexi also was going to play.  Chelsea came from California so had no family in Utah.  Her and Lexi would come home and stay with us a lot of weekends and Chelsea quickly became part of the family.  One of those girls you stay up at night thinking you're so lucky your kid hooked up with someone like that as a friend.

Chelsea had health issues with her lungs which forced her to stop playing soccer but she continued to get her education at UVU and was always sitting with the team, dressed up, cheering them on.

Chelsea went back and forth being really sick, which altered her appearance and eventually took her precious soul from us.  It kills me knowing this beautiful person never got to have a boyfriend, never got to get married, have children, think about what she was going to be when she grew up.  She never got to be a young woman like I've seen all four of my daughters become.  I think about her laughing and goofing off with my daughter because it seems like that's all they ever did.  Never took life too serious and just enjoyed each other as friends.

Not sure why it seems God takes the good ones.  I have to believe that Chelsea was just too good for this earth.  She's no longer in pain.  No more suffering.  And that makes me happy.  For my daughter... it's tough.  A big loss for her.  A big loss for all of us. - Rick
